Depending on your health hurdles, your triumphs and any lofty fitness goals you may have, your health guru may be your family physician, your acupuncturist or your personal trainer. At WellnessFX, we offer a network of practitioners that range from medical doctors to dieticians and nutritionists, all with a variety of backgrounds and specialties.
One of our wellness gurus is Ben Greenfield, a WFX practitioner, sports nutritionist and personal trainer. Ben helps his clients with weight control, sports performance, holistic medicine and lifestyle management. A triathlete himself for the last nine years, Ben demonstrates a devotion to health, quantified living and the victory that comes with working toward your goals.
Using a tailored training and nutrition program, much like the ones he recommends for his clients, Ben recently finished first at the Leadman 125 Triathlon in Bend, Oregon. The gorgeous Pacific Northwest course starts with a 2.5km swim in chilly Citrus Lake at about 5,000 feet, then transitions into a hilly 106km bike course, and ends with a 16.5km run along the banks of the Deschutes River.
Ben?s unique style of training results in an eight to 10 hour training week, in contrast to most tri-trainers who push training to an average 15 to 25 hours per week. ?I only train for 60 minutes each day, with one long workout on the weekends,? he explains. ?Rather than training excessively, I put more focus into the quality and intensity of my training, recovery, sleep and diet.
?As a coach, I have the challenge of looking at my client?s healthy history, exercise history, goals and limitations, and custom designing a training and nutrition plan accordingly,? Ben describes. While training and nutrition needs vary among Ben?s clients, the overlying philosophy stays the same: ?Quality training over quantity of training, the elimination of ?junk miles? and a focus on the variables that many athletes tend to put on the backburner.? These, according to Ben, include holistic, nutrient-dense fueling, smart recovery, stress control and deep sleep.
?Many of the athletes I coach (and myself) also implement alternative methods such as cold thermogenesis, electro stimulation and customized nutrition supplement plans. All of which make a big difference.?
Check out Ben?s full race report here and his approach to a winning race-day nutrition protocol.

A U.S. appeals court overturned a preliminary injunction banning the sale of Samsung Electronics Co Ltd's Galaxy Nexus smartphone on Thursday, sending the case back to a California court for reconsideration.
Apple had filed a lawsuit in February accusing Samsung of infringing eight patents, and had asked a California court to ban the sale of smartphones it said infringed on its patents. The lower court agreed.
But the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, which had previously put a stay on the injunction, ruled that the district court in California "abused its discretion in entering an injunction."

The troubles at the San Onofre nuclear power plant brought out hundreds of people Tuesday night for a forum held by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
Plant workers and anti-nuclear activists formed warring cheering sections in a ballroom at the St. Regis Monarch Beach hotel in Dana Point as a panel of regulators, ratepayer advocates and residents of nearby communities fielded questions and debated the merits of restarting one of the plant's reactors.
San Onofre, which once supplied power to about 1.4 million homes in Southern California, has been out of commission since Jan. 31, when a steam generator tube carrying radioactive water sprang a leak, releasing a minuscule amount of radioactive steam.
The leak prompted the shutdown of the plant and kicked off months of investigations by plant operator Southern California Edison, steam generator manufacturer Mitsubishi Heavy Industries and the NRC. The investigations found that hundreds of tubes in the newly replaced steam generators were showing a highly unusual type of wear caused by rubbing against adjacent tubes, and many more showed a more common type of wear due to rubbing against support structures.
Last week, Edison submitted a proposal to the NRC to restart the plant's Unit 2 reactor ? which showed less wear, Edison said, because of slight differences in the fabrication of support structures. Edison wants to run Unit 2 at 70% power for five months to see if operating at the lower level would alleviate the overly-high-velocity steam flow that caused the tubes to vibrate and knock against each other.
The more heavily damaged Unit 3 will remain offline indefinitely.
NRC officials said that reviewing the proposal will take months while the agency's staff completes an "independent technical analysis."
Some panelists and attendees at Tuesday night's meeting pushed the NRC to hold a courtroom-like evidentiary hearing before making a decision on the restart. Environmental group Friends of the Earth has filed a petition calling for such a process. No decision on the plant's fate was to be made during the hearing.
Panelist Donald Mosier, a professor at Scripps Research Institute and a Del Mar City Council member, said of Edison's restart plan: "That seems to me a dangerous experiment to perform for all of us who live close to San Onofre when you already have the precedent that one of the identically designed steam generators has failed."
Others expressed confidence in Edison's analysis and called for a swift review and restart of the reactor.
"We need to get this power plant back online as quickly as we can," said panelist Richard McPherson, a Laguna Niguel resident who said he had worked in the nuclear industry since 1963. "It's a technical problem, the people involved know how to fix it. We need to get on with fixing it and get our electricity back."
Proponents and opponents of restarting the plant have been jockeying to persuade the NRC and the public of their respective positions. Nuclear watchdog groups and unions representing plant workers both rallied their unions to attend the meeting. Edison shuttled employees to and from the event.
At some points, the meeting became chaotic.
Audience members yelled "Shut up!" while others cheered as one women asked: "Is there a safe level of radiation?" When a union representative got up to speak on behalf of employees, crowd members shouted "What's your question?!"
Elmo Collins, NRC regional administrator, promised a thorough review and more public meetings before a decision is made on the restart plan. But he said it would be up to the NRC to decide whether to hold a full evidentiary hearing process.

?My parents had a very good relationship,? I often hear my clients say.
?What do you mean by good?? I ask.
?They didn?t fight. They spent a lot of time with each other.?
That may have been the definition of a good relationship years ago, but now most people want more. Following are ten signs of a healthy relationship.
KINDNESS
Is kindness more important to each of you than having your way, being in control, or being right? Do you each receive joy out of being kind to each other? Being kind rather than controlling with each other is essential for a healthy relationship.
SPONTANEOUS WARMTH AND AFFECTION
Do you and your partner well up with warmth and fullness of heart for each other and express it with affection? Are you each able to see the beautiful essence within each other, rather than just the faults? Are you able to get beyond the outer to the unique inner Self of each other? Do you enjoy sharing affection? Warmth and affection are vital for a healthy relationship.
LAUGHTER AND FUN
Can the two of you laugh and play together? Do you appreciate and enjoy each other?s sense of humor? In the midst of difficulties, can you help each other to lighten up with humor? Can you let down and be playful with each other, letting yourselves be like kids together? Laughter and fun play a huge role in a healthy relationship.
ENJOYING TIME TOGETHER AND TIME APART
Are you both each other?s favorite person to spend time with? Are you motivated to set aside time just to be together?
Do both of you have friends and interests that you enjoy doing? Are both of you fine when you are not together?
Some couples spend a lot of time together because they really enjoy it, while others spend a lot of time together out of fear of being alone. It is important for a healthy relationship for each person to have friends and interests, so that they are not dependent on each other. Dependency is not healthy in a relationship, particularly emotional dependency.
A METHOD FOR CONFLICT RESOLUTION
All relationships have some conflict. It is not the conflict that is the issue, but how you deal with it. Do you have a method for resolving conflict, or do the issues just keep getting swept aside? If fighting is part of how you deal with conflict, do you fight fair, or are you hurtful when you fight?
LETTING GO OF ANGER
If one or both of you get angry, do you hang on to it, punishing your partner with it, or can you easily let it go? In healthy relationships, both partners are able to quickly move on, back into kindness and affection.
TRUST IN YOUR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER
Do you each trust that the love is solid, even in very difficult times between you? Do you each know that you can mess up, fail, disappoint the other, emotionally hurt the other ? and the love will still be there? Do you each know that the love is about who you are, not what you do? This level of trust is essential for a healthy relationship.
LISTENING, UNDERSTANDING, ACCEPTING AND LEARNING
Do you each feel heard, understood and accepted? Can you share your secrets with your partner without fearing being judged? Are you each more interested in learning about yourselves and each other than you are in controlling each other? Is listening to each other with an open heart and a desire to understand more important than judging each other or defending yourselves?
SEXUALITY
Is your sexual relationship warm and caring? Can you be sexually spontaneous? Can you talk with each other about what brings pleasure to each of you?
FREEDOM TO BE YOURSELF
Do you each feel free to be all that you are? Do you each feel supported in pursuing what brings you joy? Does your partner feel joy for your joy?
While some people may naturally be open, kind, affectionate, accepting, and emotionally responsible for themselves, most people need to heal the fears and false beliefs they learned in their families. Healthy relationships evolve as each person evolves in his or her ability to be loving to themselves and each other.

Whether you have an existing membership site up and running or you have an idea for one and are in the process of starting it up... you'll have one burning question on your mind...
How To Get New Members!
The basic truth is that no matter how many members you have today, or will have tomorrow, the amount of work you have to do to get/keep your site fresh and compelling is exactly the same... so you may as well keep adding more paying members to make it all worthwhile, right?
So let's cover three simple steps that attract more members...
STEP 1: Create a small paid for report.
Write a simple 12-15 page report on a sub-topic of your sites main topic. Listen: This is not a "Freebie" to give away for anyone who signs up, no, no! This is a valuable product that customers will be willing to pay c: $9.00 for.
Now sell this report from your membership site's domain name but not from the membership page. Create another page that is dedicated to selling your new product and ADD it to your domain.
For example:
Main membership domain: www.abc123.com
New product sales page: www.abc123.com/yournewreport.html
One reason you stick with the main domain name is simply to save time and costs. You don't need to register a new domain nor do all things needed to set it up... But there is far more important reason why you do it this way...
You expose them to your main membership domain name and site!
Now you setup your traffic driving sales strategy to point at the page selling the report. But people are curious beasts and most will see the sub-domain name and strip it off and go look at the main domain as well. Two sales opportunities for the one strategy... cool huh?
STEP 2: Give the report customer a 'Test Drive' of your membership site
Setup your report fulfillment page to (where they download it from or your "Thank you for ordering" page) to also have a TRIAL SUBSCRIPTION option. This option should be at the top of the page and make sure you 'sell' it as an "Unadvertised bonus". Tell them they that as a customer of your new product they are entitled to use the membership site for 'FREE' for two weeks.
A reasonable percentage of report buyers will automatically enrol simply because your site relates to the report they paid for and you have provided a special price for just them. The psychology here is that most will feel they have paid for the free trial by purchasing the report and will want to make sure they claim what they paid for.
You can add a deadline if you want, such as: "For today only" but if you do make sure you stick to it. Lie and you'll blow your hard-earned credibility straight out of the window.
Now simply provide a small list of reasons (benefits) of being a subscriber to your membership site and a link to the main site itself.
So, the process follows this path...
1. A PROSPECT arrives at your report's sales page. 2. They read and like the sales message for your $9.00 report. 3. They place an order and become a CUSTOMER. 4. You skilfully move them to the download page containing your 'Unadvertsed bonus' offer. 5. The customer now sees they can also get a two-week trial for FREE or maybe $1.
With me so far?
Great... here's the killer step...
STEP 3: Present a Bonus which requires activation
Now, to make sure the customer makes the right decision which is to sign up to your trial membership offer create an additional HIGHLY DESIRABLE bonus that the customer only gets if they activate the trial membership right now! Here's some ideas for this killer bonus:
1. Free coaching from your inner-circle... can be delivered by webinar so you don't have to do it in person. 2. Ready-made templates to make their life easier when working in the topic matter. 3. Another topic related resource you are an affiliate for or a JV offer. 4. A software tool that automates a process in the topic matter. 5. A short-cut "How to" guide. 6. A good PLR product. 7. A Good public domain product (make sure it IS copywrite free first though).
Look: It doesn't matter what this "activation bonus" is as long as you have something of perceived value to the customer that is about the topic matter. You just make it SO GOOD the customer just has to feel "Hey, this is so good I just can't miss out".
So the bottom line to you is this:
1. You create a qualified CUSTOMER list for free as the small report fee covers your costs! 2. You get a percentage of IMMEDIATE sign ups! 3. You bring in AUTOMATED subscribers through follow-up mailings to your list!
Just make sure you add the autoresponder series behind the report order page and the membership trial subscriber page and you're good to go!
Once you have this system in place simply keep driving traffic to your report's sales page and you'll keep a trickle of new members coming in every month!
